Jenny Oldfield, CEO of Veritas, launches Metis Networking Group on International Women’s Day.

Jenny Oldfield, CEO of Veritas Commercial Services, has chosen International Women’s Day (March 8) to launch a new networking group, exclusively for executive women.

The exclusive invitation only Group, called Metis Network, is focused on driving opportunities for business referral and personal, professional and business development. Metis takes its name from the Greek Titan Goddess representing wisdom, prudence, wise counsel and deep thought.

Jenny Oldfield said: “I have been looking for some time to find a networking group that contains like-minded, ambitious women business owners, entrepreneurs and senior management that want to build real businesses and gain real results. I started Metis in order to fill that void.”

“We are building a group with real values. We believe that Commitment is vital to our success – commitment to attend, commitment to participate, commitment to refer business. We believe in making genuine Connections – prequalified connections that are generated outside the team, not just generated member-to-member, like so many groups I have seen. We believe in Community – when we work together as a community and share opportunity in a spirit of generosity, all members rise. And finally, we believe in Character – which underpins all of our members individually.”

It is no coincidence that Jenny Oldfield has selected International Women’s Day to launch this exciting new development: “The World Economic Forum predicts that the gender gap won’t close entirely until 2186. This is too long to wait. So around the world, International Women’s Day provides an important opportunity for groundbreaking action that can truly drive greater change for women. Through purposeful collaboration, we can all work together to help women advance and unleash limitless professional and personal potential.”
